Borrowing Policies
Since you are a member of the Library (Join the Library) borrowing is for free according to the Borrowing regulations. If you are late returning/renewing your items you will need to pay a fine.
*Your student ID card or Library Membership card should ALWAYS be presented whenever you need to borrow or return materials. Your card is personal and no one else can use it for borrowing. |
- You can check out the items you need to borrow at the Circulation Desk or Self Check out Machine using your Library Membership card.
- The date of return is stamped at the back of the book.
- It is your responsibility to remember the dates for materials to be returned/ renewed and avoid the fine.

Before or on the due date listed at the back of the book, you must return your loans to the Circulation Desk or the 24/7 Drop Box located adjacent to the Main Door Entrance. Otherwise, a fine will be assessed.
You can keep your books longer if you renew them. You can do this either at the (1) Circulation Desk or (2) Online:
- For renewal at the Circulation Desk, present the books to be renewed and your student ID card/Library Membership card.
- For online renewal follow instructions below
- Click on My Account
- Click on Sign in- Unic Student
- Enter your Unic email and password for that email.
- Click on your name- My loans
- Select on the book you want to renew and click on Renew.
- Follow the same process until you RENEW all of your books
- Check if each book has been renewed. Each item's updated Due Date for return or renewal should be specified.
If you cannot complete the above process avoid the fines by contacting us at (+357) 22842100.

Items not returned or renewed on time are considered overdue and fines are payable on them.
*Please note that in case of items that have not been returned or fines that have not been paid you will lose your borrowing privileges.
How do I place a Hold Request?
Once you find the item on PRIMO (on-line Library catalog), you can see on Due Date, whether it will be available (on shelf). Then you are able to reserve the book by click on the Request. Fill in the form the pickup date and any comment you want.
How much do I have to pay for overdue items?
Please note that items hold the following fines if they are overdue:

How do I return my loans?
